How to start Blog ?

Following are the main steps to create a blog:

1. Choose your preferred best blog platform

Choosing where you want to build blog is the first step to start a blog. Blogging platforms help us to display our opinions in words in the form of blogs. There are the many blogging platforms are available in the market, from which you can select any one of the platform according to your requirement.Some of them are as following:

WordPress −

It is a free software to create and customize a search engine friendly website or a blog. A number of plugins and themes are available here to transform your website as required.It is a social media friendly platform, which provides various customization features to bloggers by which you can build your blog in less time.Million of people are a part of WordPress community. WordPress is available in both free as well as premium(paid) plans.

Tumbler −

It is a microblogging platform that allows us to make a blog and customize it.In it we can create and post stories, images, videos, audio, etc. Bloggers can either keep their blogs private or follow other blogs.It is also known as tumble logging.

Blogger -

Blogger is also a free blogging platform offered by Google. It is helpful for those bloggers who are not very technical.They can create their blog in less time. The benefit of the blogger is that in it we can make your own custom template design and publishes new content in Google Plus automatically.

Drupal-

Drupal is a free blogging platform. It is a complete Content Management System (CMS). It not very friendly as WordPress or Joomla.The main benefit of Drupal is that it allows to access a ton of data and features.

Joomla -

Joomla is an open-source and free to use.It also uses Content Management System.In it we can create blogs and also create websites.It is difficult for those who are not very technical because it requires the basic knowledge of HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheet).

2. Self-hosting or a free alternative?

This is the main decision you will have to make before we go any further. You need to decide whether to pay for your blog or use a free one.WordPress, Tumblr, and Blogger all offer free blogs for anyone.We are going to use Blogger.
