Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Recognition(पहचान):

Present Perfect Continuous Tense में हिन्दी वाक्यों के अन्त में से _रहा है , से _रही है ,से _रहे हैं आदि आता है| इस tense के वाक्यों से पता चलता है कि काम कुछ समय से लगातार जारी है लेकिन अभी तक पूरा नहीं हुआ है|

For example:

  1. सुनील सर सुबह से पढ़ा रहे हैं |
  2. दो दिनों से वर्षा हो रही है |
  3. क्या वह तीन घंटो टेनिस खेल रही है ?
  4. वे यहाँ 2001 से काम कर रही है |

Examples of Affirmative /Simple sentences

Rule:

Subject+have/has+been+First form of Verb+ing+since/for+Other Words.

Use of Have:- (I,We,You,They)

Use of Has:- (He,She,It,Any name)

Since is used with perfect time.Like: 2005,4 O'clock,January,Morning,Sunday etc.

For is used with countable time.Like: four years,two hours,six months,three days,several days etc.

  1. I have been teaching since 2004.
  2. She has been attending class for three hours.
  3. You have been studying for three hours.
  4. He has been playing football for a long time.
  5. Priya has been living in Chandigarh since January.
  6. They have been trying to learn the English language for several days.
  7. He has been writing a book for last one year.
  8. It has been raining since morning.
  9. We have been reading newspaper since 3 o'clock.
  10. Shivang has been working on this project for a year.
  11. She has been washing her cloths for two hours.



Examples of Negative sentences:

Subject+have/has+not+been+First form of Verb+ing+since/for+Other Words.

  1. He has not been reading since morning.
  2. They have not been working here since 2005.
  3. It has not been snowing for months here.
  4. She has not been learning English for five days.
  5. We have not been eating junk food for two months.
  6. Seema has not been driving car for two years.
  7. I have not been watching movie since morning.
  8. She has not been trying to drive a car.
